Frequently Asked Questions
About Mosquito & Tick Pest Control Treatments
Here are some questions we are frequently asked (the FAQs) about Mosquito & Tick treatments:
- The pesticides used for Mosquito & Tick treatments are safe for kids and pets as soon as the product is completely dry, which may take longer on days when the level of humidity in the air is higher.
- If you have standing water that you cannot eliminate, such as in pools or ponds, we will be able to treat those waters with a special natural mosquito-killing bio-control agent to prevent the growth of mosquito larvae.
- For items that you are able to move, perhaps you can turn them over or move them for the time being.
- A treatment eliminates up to about 85% to 95% of mosquitoes and ticks, and more with more treatments. A single treatment will not eliminate 100%. Multiple treatments won't do that either, but your environment will be able to provide a better experience with more treatments throughout the season.
- Notably, people who have opted for a single treatment have repeatedly remarked that even one treatment provides a world of difference.
- The pesticide is blown 30 feet with our equipment and works on any type of property (wooded, grassland, etc.). We can treat the entire yard.
- Our treatments do not eliminate any insects other than mosquitoes and ticks. However, like any other lawn treatment, insecticide, or pesticide, it is harmful to fish. The liver, kidney, brain, and gills of fish are exposed, leaving them vulnerable to chemical exposure. Our pesticide applicators are licensed and trained on how to treat near bodies of water containing fish inhabitants to eliminate exposure to fish. For example, we stay away from coy ponds.
- Many mosquito insecticides are harmful to bees. The worker bees venture outside of the hive to collect pollen and nectar. They can be exposed to pesticides that have been directly misted on the flowers and plants which they forage. With respect to honeybees, we are cautious when spraying with them present and avoid blooming flowers with which honeybees may come in contact.
- We do not spray flowering plants, gardens, any form of edible plant, or things of that nature. It is fine if you cover tomato plants and other such plants; in fact, we would encourage you to do so.

A Few Facts About Mosquitoes:
- Mosquitoes are generational; consequently, a single treatment only treats the current general who then can lay upwards of 300 eggs to produce the next generation, and they can do that every 21 days.
- Mosquitoes carry several very dangerous diseases including Lyme disease, Zika virus, encephalitis, malaria, and the list goes on.
- Most people who test positive for diseases carried by mosquitoes aren't even aware they were bit.
- Mosquitoes can track people by the heat people emit and the carbon dioxide people exhale. They can smell carbon dioxide from 100' away and quickly find you with wings that beat 600 times per second.
- Male mosquitoes feed on nectar, but it is the female mosquitoes that need your blood to reproduce.
- Mosquitoes lay up to 300 eggs at one time and they do that every 21 days.
